The UP and UP Plus 2 have a hot stepper motor in the extruder. With this mod you can add a heatsink against the stepper and a fan on the outsite. I used a passive heat sink from a computer motherboard and a fan suitable for an UP. I edited the original (with Tinkercad) so that it would take a wider range of heatsink. This is a friction fit and no screws etc are necessary - make sure that the mod is tight up against the heatsink.
