UP! Printer Brass Filament Guide

As you can see from the pics, after flagrant abuse of my printer (mainly due to over a year of non-stop overnight runs) the filament has eventually cut its way through the guide tube. This fix is designed to help out those in need! To create this new nozzle adapter, I used an old UP extruder nozzle (one that was severely gummed up beyond repair), or you can purchase aftermarket ones on eBay for a small cost. See below for instructions. Hopefully, this solution will help someone else too! Instructions Use a Dremel to carefully cut off the top cone shape from an old extruder nozzle. Drill a 2mm hole straight down through the middle. Print out this modified design. Screw in the new nozzle adapter almost all the way into place (leave about 1mm of thread exposed). Place part onto UP. Once you have it lined up, feel free to add a small drop of superglue to secure it firmly, but I found that the tension holds it in place just fine. Enjoy!
