UP! Plus / Afina Heated Build Chamber
thingiverse
This work-in-progress enclosure improved print quality significantly, maintaining a consistent 50C temperature within. However, cooling for the motor and extruder is still a concern, leading the user to install an air pump. A small heater from the thrift store was used for heating, and it's turned off using an outlet timer. The enclosure features doors on the front and right sides, with extra clearance space for easy access. Custom modifications include a wider build platform to avoid extruder strikes during large prints and a GRP tray treated with ABS-acetone mixture for better adhesion. The user shares their experience in hopes of inspiring others to build their own enclosures, suggesting the use of fiber tape hinges for easy and cost-effective door attachment.
