UP! Mini Spoolholder Reinforced

UP! Mini Spoolholder Reinforced

thingiverse

A reinforced version featuring an M4x30 screw in the axle's center is provided, reducing breakage risk compared to the original design. By not fully tightening the screw, the angle of the axle can be adjusted towards the Mini-casing, ensuring a vertical spool position. A slot at the axle's end and a locking disc prevent the spool from falling off. Tested successfully on a Mini printer, albeit with tricky support removal for vertically printed axles. An updated version with a 74mm axle for 1kg spools was uploaded on 02.02.2014. Additionally, a version compatible with Up Plus printers was uploaded on 18.06.2014; refer to comments for details. (UP_Plus_Spoolholder_Axle_Reinforced_74mm_Long.stl) Print the axle vertically at a layer height of 0.2mm and with 75% infill, as well as the locking disc. Bearings require complete fill printing and minimal support (needing two bearings).
