Summary Replacement parts for entire extruder upgrade with an MK8 extruder from China. All wiring colors match perfectly. A new magnetic base is necessary to position the longer stepper motor and align the nozzle with the center of the build platform. Use all old electrical connectors from the UP Mini hot end, stepper motor, and fan. Note: The supplied thermocouple will not work with the Mini software. Instead, use the thermocouple from the UP Mini. It fits perfectly and works well despite sticking out slightly. A set screw is located underneath the insulation surrounding the hot end specifically for the UP Mini thermocouple. Be cautious not to over tighten. Instructions The new extruder assembly can be found on eBay at http://www.ebay.com/itm/121281423242. Two holes are carefully drilled into the aluminum heat sink of the new extruder to mount the UP Mini printed circuit board holder. I used two #2 x 5/8" sheet metal screws for this purpose.
