Up Mini Noise and Vibration Damper Feet

Up Mini Noise and Vibration Damper Feet

thingiverse

I've been using a set of custom damper, spring-loaded feet on my Up! Mini for the past 12 months, and they work remarkably well at reducing vibration and noise. However, as with any modification, results may vary from person to person. Instructions: To create these custom feet, I used springs purchased from Bunnings in Australia, which measured 27mm long x 11mm outer diameter x 1.1mm thick. Due to the added weight on the rear of my printer, I needed to create a recess for the spring in the front top section to account for the difference in compression. If you're using different size or strength springs, you may need to modify this area accordingly. To assemble these custom feet, print four bases and two each of the tops. Then, push-fit the springs onto both the base and the top, and finally fit the assembly over my printer's existing molded feet. If you want to customize the design to suit different sized springs, I've included step files in the package for your convenience.
