Up Mini Heat Bed Support
thingiverse
These components replace the single "L" shaped support piece on the underside of the heatbed that connects it to the metal frame. The original design is fixed, while the outside of the bed is spring loaded, often resulting in a non-level print bed. Instructions The parts are designed as direct replacements using the same hole centers/sizes as the existing part. It's recommended to grind/file down the screws so they don't protrude through either part (as this may restrict movement depending on the thickness of the printbed used). The male part is designed for a snug fit, but not tight. The female part is fixed to the frame while the male fixes to the heat bed. Once the print board is fitted, it allows the center of the bed to rise or fall to match the external edges, while still being fixed laterally and remaining flat. Two male parts are included: one for use on the standard perf board setup, and a second ("Male- Adjustable") for use on this floating/adjustable bed mod. If using this with an unmodified bed setup, be careful when inserting or removing the perf board as the heatbed may move until the perf board pushes the heatbed down and locks it into place.
