Up! Mini Fan Mod for PLA
thingiverse
UP! Mini Fan Mod for PLA I had difficulties printing PLA with my Up! Mini. Printing other fan mods on Thingiverse wasn't satisfying, so I designed my own fan holder. The fan holder fits the original Extruder Cable Box V12.UP3 perfectly. You can see in the pictures that the fan is located off-center to blow air directly at the bearing and on the 35x35x10mm heatsink. After passing the heatsink, the air gets directed to the back of the stepper motor. Additional cooling can be achieved by putting heatsinks on the back of the motor. Parts used: Fan holder 40x40x10mm 12V 3-pin fan 2x M3x16 screws 2x M3 nuts 35x35x10mm heatsink Print Settings: Printer Brand: Up! Printer: Up Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100%
