Up Mini caddy bearing upgrade
thingiverse
I finally got tired of the plastic-on-plastic rollers in my external filament caddy squeaking after a while, so I tossed out the stock rollers and printed some new ones along with a couple of expansion-style plugs to mount the bearings in the existing injection-molded parts. I used 608 bearings, I think, because that's what was closest, but the idea can probably be adapted to fit whatever bearings you may have. The spools now roll much easier and with less noise after this modification. I almost considered adding a motor to provide assistance and using a longer Teflon tube, but I'm saving some fun for another day.
