Up BOX linear rod bearing clip spare part
thingiverse
A few months ago I had a plastic component on my oldest Up BOX break, the part that clips onto the bearing around the x axis rod, in the top back left of the printer. Rather than waiting for tech support to send me a replacement, I whipped up a replacement in OpenSCAD, and replicated it myself. I still had to dremel it down a bit to get it to fit, but I got my printer back up and running in no time. On this account, I'll be sharing other projects that pass through the shop that we just don't have the time to document quite as thoroughly: experiments, beta designs, abandoned projects -- anything I think might be useful to someone in the future.
