UoPlay gimbal to GoPro Hero Adapter
thingiverse
An adapter to allow a GoPro Hero camera to be used in a UoPlay smartphone gimbal in horizontal, fully controllable mode. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Grid works fine Notes: This is one of the things I bought a 3D printer to do. The UoPlay gimbal is designed for phones, but with this adapter you can use it to hold a GoPro Hero camera. The camera is a nice push fit on my print but you could always just wrap a rubber band around it if yours is a little looser. You will need the extra counterweight on the right - as you would for a larger or heavier phone - but with that in place, the whole outfit balances perfectly. The only downside is that you will not be able to use the widest angle setting on the GoPro as the motor will be caught in frame on the right. There are cutouts for the shutter button so pushing in the camera does not start recording, the microphone so the camera can still hear and for the sockets on the side. You can always adjust the .stl file to move, blank off, widen anything for any other GoPro or similar models - I only have a Hero 4 so this was designed for that. How I Designed This: Designed in Autodesk 123D Design by a complete beginner in the art and science of 3D printing. Please forgive any mistakes made during the design process.
