Donald Judd was an American artist known for his minimalist and conceptual works. He is often credited as a leading figure of the Minimal Art movement. Born in 1928 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, he moved to New York City at a young age where he became a prominent figure in the city's avant-garde art scene. Judd was particularly known for his use of industrial materials such as metal and wood in his works, often using them to create large-scale installations. His early work included assemblages and constructions that explored the relationship between form and space.
