Revise and update the Thingomatic Heater Board v1.1 to a new version, v1.1r2. This updated board has a tab with through-hole pads for soldering and securing the Molex KK 0.156" harness connector as well as the motor connector. This feature provides a sturdier mounting point for the wiring connectors, reducing the risk of them breaking off along with their pads. Additionally, this layout has no vias and uses wider traces to the motor connector and to the SMD components. The heater traces' width remains the same, while the removal of vias simplifies soldering process. Note that the tab is 10.81mm (0.43") deep and will add this length to the board's side. The Molex connector's irregular size may increase manufacturing costs with some fabs; however, batchpcb.com remains a cost-effective option. The board uses 1oz copper, and its glass transition temperature (Tg) should be higher than the heated platform's operating temperature. Solder in the SMD components and use an SMD 1206 size for electronic parts. For the recommended Molex KK connector, adjust the locking tab orientation. If concerned about exposed contacts, file them down and cover with Kapton tape or apply JB Weld epoxy. The BOM includes specific Mouser part numbers (Digikey equivalents in parentheses) for each component: HDR1 (Molex KK 0.156" conn., right angle), HDR2 (0.1" pin hdr, right angle), R1 (4.7K 0.5W resistor), R4 (1.0K 0.5W resistor), R29 (NTC 100K thermistor), C1 (ceramic 0.1uF 100V capacitor), and LED (red/orange clear LED).
