Unnamed Odroid C4 Case
thingiverse
This is a relatively simple little project for an Odroid C4. It's inspired by, not directly related to, my Low Profile Ice Tower Cooler case. It's assembled with 8 M3 x 6-10mm screws. Using M3 x 8 works best, but M10 won't stick out the side of the case and M6 might strip threads on initial tightening... maybe after that... The top has provisions for a 40mm fan. You'll need M3 screws of an appropriate length (typically the same as the thickness of the fan you're mounting). I may post a version without the fan, or at least a dummy fan to cover the hole. It features dimples on the bottom for 8.5mm x 2.5mm silicon feet. You can find more information here: https://amzn.com/B07QW58TZH It also has four holes in the bottom for M2.5 screws, which have the same spacing as the mounting holes on a Pi board/C4 board (49mm x 58mm). These holes can be used to mount accessory brackets to this case - such as 2.5mm drive rails or a 75mm x 75mm VESA bracket. Here are some examples of brackets you could use: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4333866, and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4399907. If you need other mounting brackets for different purposes, these would be an excellent first-time CAD project. --- I marked this as a work in progress because it fits well on my C4, but I haven't had anyone else test fit it. It's very close around the SD card slot - and that's intentional because the first five iterations I made the gap too big, causing me to drop the card inside the case when trying to insert it. At the very least, you may need to file a little bit around the black metallic cube (capacitor?) next to the SD card slot to get a good fit. I'm not sure how useful the SD card slot will be on the C4, so I uploaded a blank GPIO side for the Pi 4 version of this case. If you're booting from emmc, does the SD card slot even have a function? The C4 version also uses the Pi 3 version of the USB side, which is how it's named. I don't foresee making any changes to this case - except maybe a version without the fan and exhaust slots, depending on cooling needs. I just got my hands on the C4 a few days ago, so I haven't really gotten to know it yet. And I kind of just wedged it into a case I was working on for other things.
