UNIVERSAL WRENCH
thingiverse
This is my model of a printable universal wrench that has the advantage of letting you carry a small set of wrenches in your pocket or bag. It is suitable for nuts with sizes ranging from M1.6 up to M24, with a total of fourteen dimensions. How I Designed This This model was made in Maya 2016. First of all, I designed the holes for the interior shape of the wrench, seven on each side of the wrench, the biggest two are in the middle and the others are in the six corners of the hexagon. After that, I designed the exterior part of the wrench. The middle one is the biggest and it decreases in size with the size of the inner part. I used the "Difference" command to get the seven wrench heads. Then, I used the "Union" command to combine them one by one. This project helped me discover the standardized size system used in industry. As part of a physics club in high school, I discovered how useful working with tools is. The tool is a good idea to provide a big number of students with a big number of dimensions of wrench without spending too much money and at the same time saving space because this tool does not need too much space. Students will learn a variety of skills, such as designing their tools using a 3D printer and also the basic abilities of building and disassembly. Due to the fact that this wrench is not made of metal, but plastic, it is much safer and suitable to be used by young children. I designed this tool to be used in various areas, like science, physics, mechanical engineering.
