Universal tool carrier plate for Prusa MK3s extruder

<p>This is a universal tool carrier plate for the Prusa MK3s extruder. You can use this to mount tools, addons, basically anything to your extruder.<br/> It is super easy to mount/unmount by just unscrewing the two screws from the part cooling fan and one screw from the cooling shroud.<br/> It takes basically 90 seconds to change.</p> <p>An example project would be a laser to turn your 3D printer into a laser cutter / engraver.<br/> I personally use this for mounting a dial indicator.</p> <p>The carrier plate has a vertical mount on the front and a horizontal mount on the underside of the extruder.<br/> Front is 24x24mm, underside is 12x24mm and the first hole row has a distance of 13mm from the nozzle center. Both vertical &amp; horizontal hole sets are symmetrical to the nozzle center. (See drawing for measurements)</p> <p>You don't need any equipment to mount this plate, although you do need at least 4x square M3 nuts &amp; 4x M3x10 screws to mount stuff. If you intend to use both sides, you need 8x M3 square nuts &amp; M3x10 screws. (There should be a few ones of each in your MK3s spare bag!)</p> <p>Note that you cannot heat the hotend, as it would melt the carrier!</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Print as you like. Resolution should be 0.2 for best results.</p>
