Universal Tablet Holder

This intelligent design is perfectly suited for housing 7-inch tablets and beyond. Made to be rugged and versatile. I've tested this with the Samsung Tab 3, Kindle HD 2nd Generation, Kindle Fire HD 7. If you can test it with more tablets, please share those findings with me. Hi, I'm Kyle Mayne. This is my very first upload! I'd love your feedback in the comments below. Find me on Instagram: whysofrail - that's where I post similar stuff. Let's get started! First things first: ensure a perfect fit. The Universal Tablet Holder measures 16.5 centimeters long (including the ends). Add about 1 millimeter of extra space on either side to make sure your tablet fits comfortably inside, ideally at least 17.5 centimeters in length. Once we've confirmed the holder is just right for your tablet, let's download the source STL files. You only need these three: R_TAB_HOLDER.stl, L_TAB_HOLDER.stl, and SQUARE_DOWEL.stl. Feel free to explore more by checking out the .blend source files, also available. Next, plug the STL files into your preferred software (like Slic3r) and generate your gcode. Don't worry; I left everything at default settings with supports enabled for a smoother 3D printing experience. Don't forget - you'll need to print seven copies of SQUARE_DOWEL.stl since that's how many it takes to complete the design properly. After the print is done, tidy up any edges using a straightedge knife or a box knife. Give the dowel ends a gentle bevel so they fit snugly into their respective holder parts. This entire design requires no adhesives; if you experience issues with the dowels popping out, try increasing the beveling angle slightly. Remember, I've had perfect results without glue or any kind of adhesive. Feel free to do as you please; it's your call.
