A spindle insert for filament spools, perfectly suited for use on 10-12mm dowel or rod. It prints without supports and can be used straight away, no tools needed. This insert reduces friction with ease, eliminating the need for a bearing. A significant benefit is its ability to work seamlessly with flexible filament, which tends to stretch and under-extrude when subjected to excessive friction. The design should adapt to most spools out of the box, but a Fusion 360 file is provided as a courtesy in case any adjustments are necessary.
