Universal Spool Holder for SpannerHands System 1KG Quick Change 608 Bearings

I invest a lot of time in these designs so suggestions are greatly valued. Designed to fit seamlessly into the Spannerhands https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2119644 spool holder for effortless/fast change outs and inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1241566. This is my absolute favorite spool holder, so I added an adjustable spool axle. Due to the cone shape, this spool holder will fit multiple size spools up to 1kg. The cones range from 48mm to 58mm. With the large coarse threads and clearance, you can change the spool really quickly. Everything is captive except for the large nut. Just lift the entire assembly out and remove the nut (it will slide out over the end bushings/cap) and swap out the filament. It features two 608 bearings which can be pre-loaded with the two nuts(hidden) if you want a little resistance. Some odd shaped spools may not fit, but all of mine do. The unit will work without the bearings but won't be as smooth. Hardware 1 Threaded Rod 98mm long x 8mm (or 5/16") diameter 2 Threaded rod nuts (8mm or 5/16") 2 608 Bearings Print Options - Print 1 large spool - Print 1 large spool nut - Print 2 of either the 8mm end cap bushings or the 5/16" depending on your rod size. Notes: - The end cap bushings are already threaded (extra tolerance, no tools needed). One side only has a bevel to aid in threading the rod into it (super easy). - Tighten the nuts for desired amount of spool resistance if needed. - The center of the spool is hollow between bearing races with overhang under top bearing to save material. - The large spool/nut have been designed with extra clearance so they thread on and off really easily. When tightened against the spool, they are very secure. - See print notes below for best results. TIP - if you preload the bearings a lot and the entire assembly rotates in the spool holder just un-thread the two end caps a little so they are tight (side ways) in the box and they will stay in place. You won't even have to adjust it every time. Print Settings - Large Spool and Nut - Printed at .3 with 5 outside layers(threads come out better). Used 35% infill - Printed without any supports, depending on your printer you may need supports on the large spool/bolt ONLY from the build surface underneath the bottom bearing support. - End Cap Bushings - Printed at .2 to make sure the threads come out nice. 50% infill
