This Universal Spool Holder has undergone numerous revisions over the past six months. Initially designed for use with the Monoprice Select Mini and Amz3D Filament, it was necessary due to the small hole in the Amz3d spool, which is incompatible with most standard spool holders. Today, I utilize this Universal Spool Holder with my Ender 3 as well, without any issues, even when using 1 Kg spools from Hatchbox, 3D Solutech, SunLu, AmazonBasics, and Amz3D. The design accommodates multiple brands, as evidenced by the fact that I referenced this website to determine spool sizes (which lists 35 brands). http://thrinter.com/empty-spool-weights/ To assemble this Universal Spool Holder, four 608 bearings are required. Two 5/16" nuts and bolts, each measuring three inches in length, are used to secure the bearings. The wheels can be mounted in two different ways; I personally prefer the narrower configuration. The following dimensions represent the minimum and maximum width that will fit both configurations. The narrow configuration has a width range of 39-69mm, which is recommended for optimal performance. In contrast, the wider configuration spans from 52 to 82mm. If you require an even wider setup, I have designed spacers or can recommend adding washers as a viable solution. However, please note that a longer bolt will also be necessary in this instance. When installing the bearings, it is essential to ensure they are snugly fitted. Update April 13, 2019: As requested by some users, I am uploading a version of the spool holder without pre-made supports. I highly recommend adding supports using your slicer software to achieve optimal results.
