The little teeth prevent the parts from moving during the print. The parts snap in every other millimeter for maximum flexibility. It can hold spools with a width up to 90 mm. With this bearing solution you can prevent the metal in your extruder from degrading due to friction from the bad angle that a top-mounted spool feeds in. Furthermore, this solution is way more stable thus leading to less vibration. I had problems with different 3d-printed spool holders. They were either too complicated or not reliable. Therefore, I designed this universal holder that can handle every spool I have come across so far. Instructions: - Buy 4 pieces of 608 zz ball bearings (they are cheap and available everywhere) - Print the two parts - Press the bearings onto the 3d printed parts (with a little force) - Adjust the width by lifting up the smaller part a little – to keep the teeth from snatching in while moving.
