Universal Spool - 608 Bearing

Universal Spool - 608 Bearing

I had 608 skate bearings and loved the simplicity of franckober's [Universal Spool] (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4103050). So I remixed it to take the larger 608 bearings and to be able to print without support.

For me, I converted my Ender 5 Plus to Direct Drive and wanted to hang my spool from above. I wanted to reuse my Ender Spool holder. So I used the 8mm Spool axe for Original Creality Ender 3 Spool Holder from Tex-Lab. I used 5/16 threaded rod cut to size (8mm rod is hard to find locally).

Non-3d Printed Items:

(1) Ender spool holder bracket

(2) Wood screws

(1) 5/16 Threaded Rod cut to size

(2) 5/16 Nylock Nuts

(1) 5/16 Nut

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

200

Infill:

20

Filament: Inland PLA+ How I Designed This ===================

Designed in Fusion 360

I didn't have the original files design files, but took the concept and created a design in Fusion 360. Tweaked it to make it printable without supports. BTW - just realized that I took the photo of the Ender 5 Plus after a failed print (I am dialing in the settings for the new MicroSwiss Direct Drive).
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
