The design for a high-performance microscope slide carrier specifically engineered for demanding industrial settings was crafted by me towards the end of the nineteen-nineties, under contract with Genomic Solutions. However, the product never made it to market as the company underwent significant changes, eventually resulting in its sale and division into separate entities. Fortunately, the original design documents have remained secure, and since then the associated patent has expired, no longer serving as a deterrent to interested developers or entrepreneurs looking to put this innovative technology to use in modern industrial applications.
