Universal RX antenna mount

Universal RX antenna mount

This antenna tube mount boasts two fantastic features: 1. The antenna tube snugly fits against the standoff, with the recesses in the latter sinking into the tube's plastic. This, combined with the force applied when pressing the mount down onto the standoff, creates a rock-solid grip on the antenna tube that prevents it from rotating around the standoff. 2. A precision-engineered slit at the back of the mount allows you to thread the antenna cable through, holding it securely in place. This clever design enables you to position the cable exactly as needed, preventing it from getting damaged by props or sliding back into the frame body. The antenna remains firmly in place, "pinched" by the mount. The mount requires the use of knurled 5 mm standoffs and works seamlessly with both Forever tubes and regular 3 mm tubes. It supports thin (R-XSR style) and thick (XM+ style) antenna cables, although the latter may require a bit more effort to push through the "cable pinching end" of the mount. There are two versions of the mount available, offering 30 and 45 degrees of tube tilt angle. The 30-degree mount is ideal for racing applications, as demonstrated in the pictures, while the 45-degree version can be used to point antennas upwards and outwards on a freestyle top-mount quad. A low-profile version of the 30-degree mount with a standoff sleeve height of 7mm is also available. Instructions: 1. Print the selected mount, which consists of two pieces. 2. Measure and cut the antenna tubes to the correct length. 3. Insert the antenna tubes into the printed mounts, ensuring they extend all the way up until they meet the "cable pinching end" at the back of the mount. 4. Slide the mounts with the tubes installed onto the standoffs, applying sufficient force as needed since the tubes may obstruct the process. 5. Thread the antenna cables through the back sides of the mounts, taking care not to bend them excessively. A gentle twisting motion or a pointy object can help guide the cable through the initial millimeters if necessary. 6. Enjoy your tidy build with RX antennas securely in place and fully protected.
