Universal Printer Electronics Case
thingiverse
I initially designed this case for my Ender3v2 to sit on, but have since realized that you can use it for any printer universally. Has plenty of volume for your needs. It consists of to laser cut and folder aluminium panels and printed parts. You could design mounts for it for another printer somewhere. Inside I have mounted the original E3v2 PSU, a Sonoff Wifi power switch, 5v PSU 2x 24v mosfets (1 for bed, 1 for extruder), Octopus MCU, RPi 4b, Klipper expander controlling 3 case fans, ATX-Raspi power controller with 19mmØ RPi led soft button, 22mmØ USB3 two-way female output jack, 22mmØ Cat6e two-way female output jack and the fused mains power in jack. The Sonoff power switch is controlled by the mainsail.conf which introduces a power swtich in Mainsail. PSU earths itself to the aluminium. I have checked. No BOM as yet. I'll also update this with a BOM at some point... BOM generally has losts of M2.5x3mm and M3x6mm screws and M3 heat set inserts. A couple of M3x25mm BHCS for the breakout board, a few M2.5x6 self tapping SHCS to mount the screen with two M3x20 BHCS for the hinge. All to be confirmed. Face and rear plates are in two parts, glue these together with suitable plastic glue before mounting. You must glue on the rear plate after installing the breakout board. It only goes together one way. the rear plate is a little finaky to get over the breakout board but is achievable. M2.5 x 10mm brass female standoffs support the selected electronics. I have layed out holes to support SKR's, Octopus and EV2 mcu boards in two directions. No stopping you adding more, just drill some holes. Files include the gerber file for the breakout connector board at the rear. I got JCLPBC to manufacture these. If I have missed any files please let me know. Have fun. Works for me.
