Universal Plate Stand: Display Your Decorative Plates/Pictures with Ease This stand requires no hinges, no glue, and no hassle. Simply scale down, slice, print, and assemble. It's that easy. The design looks great in brown PLA (see photos), but imagine how even better it would look printed in wood or gold filament. Important Note: The attached "PlateStand.stl" file is larger than most 3D printers can handle due to its 10-inch length (25cm). This stand is designed for big plates, approximately 15 inches (38cm) in diameter. Before printing, simply scale down the original .stl file to fit your needs. Example: If you need a stand for a 7-inch (18cm) plate, print a 50% scaled-down version of the original .stl, and you're good to go. To achieve this, apply uniform scaling by applying the same percentage scaling on all X/Y/Z axes. We recommend printing the right and left sides of the stand separately. Don't forget to scale both "PlateStand-R.stl" and "PlateStand-L.stl" files equally before slicing. This design also works well for square-shaped pictures/frames with a base approximately 12 inches (30cm) long.
