Hello all, this is a universal camera/phone holder which can be mounted on your aluminium rail. Update (Dec 25, 2015): re-created as version two, optimized some things. The point is I turned my old Android phone into an online webcam/video streaming device to monitor the printing progress. I won't describe all the details here, but these are the basics: Stuff consists of four main pieces: a) M6 t-slot nut (for 30x30mm aluminium profile). If you have a twenty-by-twenty millimeter aluminium profile, download your m4 slot nut here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1061769 b) Mount.stl - to be mounted to the aluminium profile c) Leg.stl - default model is one fifty millimetre tall, should be suitable for most printers d) Hook.stl - bottom and upper phone holders - print two pieces You need four m6 screws and four m6 nuts. You need an old Android phone with ip webcam package installed: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pas.webcam Working local Wi-Fi to be able to connect to the phone from your PC or tablet. I also attached an original OpenSCAD file which can generate all parts of this cam holder with any dimensions you like, except for the m6/m4 slot nut. (for m4 size, see link above; for m6 size, check here.) For other details or instructions, feel free to comment or send a message. Print Settings Printer: Rebel ii. - customized No rafts are needed. Support is required only for the mount-v2.stl part. Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: thirty percent Notes: The model supports were required to prevent print failures due to insufficient contact between the model and the bed plate of your printer, this being more apparent when printing in vertical orientation as shown above.
