Universal Phone Tripod Mount - normal thickness nut version
thingiverse
Jakejake's Universal Phone Tripod Mount is an incredible model - nearly everything one could possibly want in a phone tripod mount. But it requires a 1/4-20 "jam" nut, which caught me off guard when I purchased nuts for my tripod prints. I didn't know there were "jam" nuts, so the only way to get one of the existing nuts into this model was to jam it in there. To resolve this issue, I opened up the original BASE.STL file in Fusion 360 and widened the gap slightly. In the original design, there was a 5.08mm gap for the nut. I expanded it to 5.6mm, which matched the thickness of the nuts I had on hand - they measured 5.5mm. I've included a Fusion360 file for anyone who may encounter this problem.
