Universal Phone Head mount
thingiverse
So at the start of this year, I made up my mind to set some goals for myself, with one being that I wanted to do something creative every single day. Lately, I've been making knives as my daily creative projects and I've also been documenting my creativity journey and knife making processes on instagram (https://www.instagram.com/wpilgrim). I found it was often quite tough to set up my phone to take nice action shots of what I was working on for the day. Also, I didn't want to spend a ton of time setting up the perfect shot or setting up tripods with my DSLR; I figured some kind of head mount similar to a GoPro for my phone would be perfect for a lot of what I was trying to shoot. I went to Thingiverse, assuming someone had designed something like this already but I couldn't really find anything, so I made one myself. It'll look pretty goofy when you are wearing it but I just wanted a functional piece without having to mess with setup or buy some special camera. **Items you will need for this build besides the 4 printed parts are:** - 1x 1/4-20 x 2.5" hex screw - 1x 1/4-20 hex nut - 1x homemade head strap or a repurposed one (I used this https://www.harborfreight.com/swivel-lens-headlamp-61319.html) - 1x 1' velcro strap - a bit of CA glue or superglue are fine (for gluing the cap onto the bolt) - *optional* adhesive backed padding for your forehead and or phone
