Universal phone grip
thingiverse
This versatile grip consists of 2 fundamental components that securely grasp and hold phones in any position without relying on springs or elasticity. The bottom and top parts mesh together as a ratchet pair, with the arms at the top functioning like a spring to provide enough pressure to hold most phones firmly in place. To secure a phone, simply apply gentle pressure by squeezing the two components together, then release it by pressing the 'tail' of the ratchet. This grip can accommodate phones ranging from 60 to 90 mm wide, including those with cases. The lower part features a mounting point that allows for a variety of attachments, such as stands and holders. I've included a simple stand and a more complex elbow joint that can be used to mount a pole, where the pole is made from conduit. These fittings utilize 6-32 screws and nuts; if you only have access to metric measurements, you may need to make adjustments to use M4 instead. I've also included versions of the two main elbow joint pieces with built-in supports. I find that this approach produces a significantly better result than relying on supports added by a slicer.
