Update 4/21/16: V3 is significantly more robust. I haven't personally encountered issues with printing V2, but anticipate some users may, mainly due to the fragility of the retainer clips. My friends always leave their phones connected to cables hanging from walls, contributing to clutter and potential damage. This simple device is designed to rest on outlet prongs (US/120VAC), making it universally compatible with all phones. You'll also notice its ability to hang from outlets transposed 90 degrees. The large loop serves as a cable retention mechanism. The most notable aspect of this design is its slim profile, reducing the lateral footprint compared to most power supplies and resulting in measurable space usage savings. The support center-line was engineered to securely hold large phones (such as my Galaxy Mega 6.3 or Galaxy SIII), while still accommodating smaller devices with variable thicknesses. This design should be perfectly safe for phone screens, cases, and there are no electrical risks involved. However, it's crucial for the user to ensure that there is no risk of electric shock. Please refer to 'Print Settings' for additional notes. Print Settings: Printer: Scalar Custom Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: As you see fit Notes: Print this with light supports, preferably only touching the bed. I'm printing it with PLA, which may be a bit brittle for flexible parts but should work fine with care and won't damage screens. I wouldn't print this with translucent PLA as it tends to be extremely brittle in my experience. Using a heated bed is recommended, allowing it to fully cool before removal. Resolution is optional; I designed this to be printed at 0.2mm. This should be obvious, but do not use conductive materials! How I Designed This 123D Design Digital Micrometer A lot of guess and check was involved in the design process.
