Universal Modular Camera Mount
pinshape
I required a camera mount with sturdy threads that won't easily break when tightened. A printed M20 thread appears robust enough for me. Of course, I over-engineered it, resulting in a modular universal mount for cameras, action cams, and smartphones. I added a standard stand and a clamp - see which one works better for you. Print what you need and simply assemble everything using the M20 bolts. For the clamp, I used a smaller M10 thread. The clamp doesn't require much torque, so M10 should be robust enough. The "lower clamp xl.stl" is designed for larger phones and has 20mm more clamping length. The parts are optimized for 0.2mm layer height. You don't need support for the threads but for other sections of some parts. Adjust your slicer to ensure overhangs greater than 60° are supported. I set the support overhang angle in Cura to 65°, and everything prints fine.
