Universal Miniatures Basing System

Universal Miniatures Basing System

Square or circle? This is a question that has bitterly divided the wargaming community since time immemorial (or at least since 2015.) It seemed an unsolvable problem... until now! This is a system to allow easy rebasing of your miniatures! By using small inset bases that are magnetized into a larger base, you can swap your minis from one base to another instantly. There have been plenty of systems for converting square bases to round and vice versa, but this inset base system has several advantages. It presents a nearly seamless break - by the use of base scatter the transition can be disguised and made nearly invisible. It allows for extremely straightforward magnetization of your bases, making your minis less likely to break in transportation. Because it doesn't require you to trim the edges of your bases or glue anything into place, it is entirely futureproof - if the next edition of your favorite TTWG requires your soldiers be placed on larger bases, you only need to print out a few new outer bases to comply with the rules. No more chipping away at the glue under your minis' feet! These bases are designed to accommodate 5x1 or 6x1mm magnets. These bases stand marginally taller than Citadel bases - 5mm rather than 3.5 - but are otherwise the same size. The chart above shows the base sizes included in this system. Movement trays are also included. I will be adding additional bases and movement trays very shortly. Currently included are options for: 20mm Square 25mm Square 40mm Square 25x50mm Rectangle 50mm Square 50x75mm Rectangle 80mm Square 50x100mm Rectangle 60x100mm Rectangle 25mm Round 28.5mm Round 32mm Round 40mm Round 50mm Round 60mm Round 25x70mm Oval ("Biker base") 35x60mm Oval 42x75mm Oval 52x90mm Oval 70x105mm Oval Go forth and base!
