Universal Indirect Ophthalmoscope (Indirect BIO) Stand
thingiverse
This dimensional remix of the Makerbot Headphone stand has been adapted for individuals who have a battery powered wireless indirect binocular ophthalmoscope (Indirect BIO). This design was created because there are no holders for wireless indirect BIOs meaning that these BIOs have to either sit on your head all day long or have to be set down on your desk. For the latter, normally this wouldn't be an issue. However, because our desks are being wiped down so frequently due to COVID, we needed a better solution. This design is best printed with the flat side down. I would also recommend printing with at least 4 shells and an infill of 60% for strength and rigidity. We have validated this design with a Heine Omega unit but in theory this design will work with any BIO. This design gives good clearance between the bottom of the stand and the optics of the BIO. A limitation of this design is you will need a fairly large printer to print this part out. This design was printed on a Raise3D Pro2Plus on the flat. Additionally, this design takes a long time to print out. A future remix could turn this into a two piece design for printing on smaller printers.
