Universal Hubcap Center Cap for Steel Wheel Car Rims [Customizable]
cults3d
This style of center-only hubcaps on steel wheels is what police cars in North America use, and will give your car a cleaner look compared to bare steel wheels. With this customizable parametric model, you can adjust the measurements and print a set of hubcaps to fit any car with any tire size and bolt pattern. Pictured is a Ford Fusion with 17 inch 5x108 wheels. A set of 4 hubcaps like these costs $60-$100, and if you lose one from hitting a pothole or something, it's hard to find the exact same one to buy. Sometimes you need to buy another set of 4 while only 1 is needed. How ridiculous! With the model, if you lose one for whatever reason you can easily print another one. It costs ~$2 of PETG to print, and a set of 4 costs ~$8. Measure the required dimensions and enter the values in OpenSCAD to generate a custom hubcap with the perfect fit for your car. You can also customize the looks to your liking. Installing this hubcap gives a satisfying snap (see videos). It won't budge as long as the measurements are entered correctly. A test_model is provided to check the fit with only a section of the hubcap to print. They can be taken off easily using the holes on the sides with a flat screwdriver. The one used in the pictures is the Leatherman Wave. No more ugly rusted wheel bolts, hubs and axle nuts. FOR PRIVATE, NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY
