Additionally, it can support a smartphone for video recording while performing another task concurrently. There's an option for a Dial Indicator holder that facilitates clamping onto non-magnetic materials easily. Note that this arm is not designed to handle heavy loads; its strength comes from the friction between the ball joint and the clamp on the arm. The smoother these surfaces are, the less weight it can carry. By intentionally scuffing up these surfaces, the arm's holding capacity can be increased.
