Universal Heatplate from old 3D Printer
thingiverse
I'm a novice in PCB design and electronics, so I'm eager to learn from others and improve my skills. I wanted a hotplate for phone repairs but had an old 3D Printer Hotbed just collecting dust. So, I decided to breathe new life into it. The Hotplate can reach temperatures up to 90°C, which is perfect for various tasks. My PCB design uses standard perf board, making it easier and more accessible to work on at home. I repurposed a 12V Hotbed from my FreeSculpt 3D ex1 printer. Here's what you'll need: **Hardware:** 1. A 12V hotbed from a 3D Printer 2. "3D-Freunde" V2 Mosfet (https://amzn.to/3bNbzUJ) - others will work too 3. 12V, 5A Power Supply (https://amzn.to/2JrzVXV) 4. Another Arduino board for programming the Pro Mini 5. Some cables and plugs for connections to the Hotplate **Components for PCB:** 1. 90x58mm perf board 2. Arduino Pro Mini (3.3V, 8MHz) 3. 7-Segment Display 4. DC-Input Jack 5. PNP Transistor S8050 6. 3x2 Male Header 7. 1x2 Male Header 8. 8x 100 Ohm Resistors 9. 15k Ohm Resistor 10. Screwterminal 11. Hesai Buck Converter 12. Tactile Switch (12x12mm in my case) 13. Copper wire as jumpers **Screws:** 1. 6 M3 screws, 10-15mm long 2. 3 M2 screws, 4mm long 3. 4 M3 screws, 3mm long 4. 3 M2 washers
