Universal Flash Drive Box: A DIY Masterpiece I've always dreamed of creating a universal flash drive that's independent of manufacturers, allowing you to use it as a single unit or break it down into individual components. For example, you can use it as a bootable hard drive for your computer. And now, with this device, my dream has become a reality. It consists of an M2 semiconductor module and a USB cable controller, all housed in a sturdy plastic box. I purchased the module on Aliexpress from a reputable seller (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Kingspec-NGFF-M-2-SSD-1TB-64GB-128GB-256GB-512GB-2280-M2-NGFF-Internal-Solid-State/32853095197.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.274233ed51ZbwF). The controller, on the other hand, was sourced from another seller (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/External-USB-3-0-NGFF-Enclosure-NGFF-M-2-SSD-To-USB-3-0-Case-For/32525365045.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dAacKqa). The box itself is designed to be easily broken down into two halves, with the option to glue them together for added security. However, I chose not to glue mine, and instead relied on friction to keep it securely closed. I created this project using Autodesk 123D Design, a free and user-friendly program that made it easy to bring my vision to life. The original design file is attached, allowing you to explore the intricacies of my creation.
