This support accommodates a wide range of spools, accepting widths up to 99mm, with one side placed snugly in the slot to prevent movement. It also handles various diameters, spanning from 150 to 400mm. This versatile design allows for flexibility and ease of use. The support can be situated on a desk or mounted directly onto the printer, as I have done with my Anet A10, utilizing double-sided tape for secure attachment. Even when dealing with filaments that are slightly tangled on their spools, this support functions seamlessly. To function properly, it requires only four miniature ball bearings, specifically 688Z or 688ZZ models measuring 16x8x5mm. These can be obtained from Banggood at an affordable price of under $3 for a set of ten. This updated design is an improvement over my initial spool holder, boasting increased strength and utilizing more cost-effective ball bearings.
