Universal Filament Spool Holder

Universal Filament Spool Holder

Since I couldn't find any decent desktop spool holder that would fit printing on the Flashforge Finder, I decided to dive in and design one myself. The whole assembly doesn't require any glue and it fits really tightly together. You might notice a slight wobble once all is assembled, but it's okay, this has been designed so that the spool adds stability to it. Once the filament spool is on, it becomes solid. I included two different bars, standard and if your spool has a slightly higher diameter then you can print out a thicker version that will give you some extra clearance. The bar features built-in threads that work well with the threads inside of the screw caps. As for the printing itself: 1. Print without supports (unless you print the thicker bar, then you might need some); 2. For the full assembly, print: 2 sides, 2 feet, 2 screw caps and 1 bar; 3. A raft is recommended to avoid warping, especially for feet; 4. You can print at any resolution you'd like (I printed mine at 0.3 layer to save on time and filament); 5. Print with an infill of 10% or more (the more infill, the tougher the part will be, but the more filament will be used to print it, and it will add time too); 6. On the Flashforge Finder, print sides separately, but the bar, feet and caps can be printed simultaneously. Enjoy!
