Human beings can't prevent the extruder from clogging by dust particles, but a sponge can wipe them clean. By dropping mineral oil on the sponge, it lubricates the filament as it passes through, reducing strain on the extruder motor. Lubrication is especially useful for long tubes that guide the filament to the extruder. Instructions: 3D-print the STL file and place a small piece of sponge into the filament filter. Poke a hole in the sponge so the filament can pass through and come out the other end. Soak the sponge with mineral oil, just like you would use on sewing machines or bicycle chains. Place the filament filter between the spool and the extruder. If you have a plastic tube guiding the filament to the extruder, place the filter before it enters the tube.
