Universal Extruder Strain Relief
thingiverse
A neat little add-on for keeping your extruder motor's wires organized! It installs directly on the motor, no need to disassemble anything. The result is a tidy arrangement that keeps everything within easy reach. To build one, you'll want to start by printing 1 copy of the usr_main component and 4 copies of the usr_tips component. Alongside these prints, gather 4 M3 nuts, 4 M3 bolts, and 3 zip ties - all of which will be essential for completing this task. Now that your components are printed and parts have been collected, it's time to begin assembly. Start by pressing the M3 nuts into the nut traps and secure them in place using the matching M3 bolts. Attach the tips to the end of each bolt and ensure they're tightened firmly. The final stage is putting the whole assembly together. Open up the two ends of the main component, thread the motor wires through one side, then use a zip tie to close both ends. The entire assembly should fit comfortably over your extruder motor - but be sure not to overtighten it as this can lead to unnecessary stress on the device. In case your strain relief doesn't slide into place with ease, try flipping the whole component over and try again!
