Universal Drain Linkage Spring Clip Holder
thingiverse
Our bathroom renovation hit a snag when we tried to install the new bathroom overflow drain assembly, only to discover the linkage broke. American Standard apparently opted for a flimsy plastic piece for the linkage assembly, which they are now shipping as a replacement part with a 5-7 day delivery time, not including holidays like Christmas next week! Instead of waiting, I decided to use my 3D printer to create a replacement part for the American Standard Universal Brass Bath Drain - Model number 1583.470.295 (I believe it will work with any model 1583.47#.###). Here's how I printed: rotate on the X axis, print settings in ReplicatorG (Infill - 100%, Raft - Yes, Support - Exterior Support, Layer Height - 0.2, Shells - 1, Feedrate - 25, Travel - 30), used ABS for the application since it will sit in the brass overflow plumbing of my main bathtub.
