A Universal Door Sliding Sign A simple frame with a sliding pane that lets you switch between two large 5x5cm signs in an instant. The signage is just a basic sheet of paper that can be swapped out from above with ease. The template, which includes all the necessary details to print and cut-out, is also included as an Inkscape SVG file for easy editing. The image shows a typical FREE / BUSY selector, complete with a sample PDF for quick printing. # Printing and Installation Print the parts exactly as given, no supports required. Use your preferred material. A layer-height of 0.2mm is recommended for optimal results. The frame is printed in an upside-down orientation: note that the recess for the paper is on top where it belongs. Position the slider in the middle of the frame by inserting one "V" side into the internal part of the frame, then *gently* force the upper part into the frame by bending it slightly until it snaps into place. Once inserted, the slider should move freely from side to side with ease. Use double-sided tape on the outer parts in the rear of the frame (2 sides and bottom). Again, note that the recessed slot for the paper *should be on top*, where the bezel is thinner. After checking the orientation affix it to a wall or door. Glue can also be an option. Open the SVG template in Inkscape (or your favorite SVG editor) to customize the sign. Choose the appropriate page size, then print at 100% scale and cut along the outer border. Slide the paper from above and into the sign with precision and ease.
