Update 08/18/16 - Remodeled both the ring and base plate, incorporating a design that minimizes supports to print effectively. I also added some minor enhancements for improved overall functionality. The updated model now features a screw/bolt location aligning the two pieces seamlessly. Additionally, the design's ability to accommodate easier overhangs speeds up printing times significantly. Update 08/11/16 - Included a JPG graphic as a template for light reflector's and a diffuser to be placed behind the emblem. Originally, I used glossy photo paper to make reflectors in my prototype by cutting out shapes and then attaching them to the base plate using super glue. For the diffuser, I cut two pieces of clear acetate, sandwiching a piece of tissue or printer paper between them for placement behind the emblem. Update 08/10/16 - Linked several other emblem designs for added reference material. Modeled and uploaded a design for a back plate/base enabling attachment of strip LED's. This creation is based on a mock-up I crafted from foam core, used in the prototype for inspiration. Update 11/01/15 - Added a back plate approximately 1mm wide but made for a snug fit by carefully sanding down to achieve this result. Future revisions will include adding a screw or latch point for increased security and functionality. This is a chest ring design developed using an original concept for making cosplay props that incorporate lights within their designs. Many superheroes have logo's located on their chests, and I wanted to create such items so users could develop unique lighting systems. This piece can be paired with separate logo's to allow individuals to showcase their personal flair.
