My designs typically emerge from necessity, and this project is no exception. I created a desk/device mount designed to securely hold an iPad in either portrait or landscape orientation on the desk. Although it's relatively straightforward, I added several features to give users some variety from the norm, so they can have fun printing. Key benefits of my design include: * No supports are required * A convenient insert/storage slot for two standard USB thumb drives * Two 4mm screw holes for potential wall mounting * Two slots (with varying widths) for supporting various devices in different orientations A random fact that caught my attention is pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon where people see patterns in random stimuli. This often leads them to assign human characteristics to objects, which can be simplified as seeing faces in objects where there isn't one.
