This 3D-printable case model generator is still a work in progress and will be updated periodically. To keep up with the updates, collect or follow the project rather than just downloading it. The generator, written in C++ and OOML, creates a case model for any electronic board using an algorithm to generate a generic design. The output is a SCAD file that can be processed into an STL file for 3D printing. Currently, the project includes a CubieBoard case as an example but lacks a slot for the SD card and a hole for the IR sensor. To create a case for a new device, simply describe its dimensions, holes, and ports. The generator does the rest, with the option to customize the design generation algorithm. Documentation, instructions for creating board descriptions, and an online editor are in development. For printing, ABS is recommended at 0.2mm layer height and 30% fill without support. Assembly involves drilling holes for screws and carefully placing the CubieBoard inside the case to avoid damage. Updates and contributions are welcome via comments on the project.
