This remix of the universal caliper holder by swiss_beluga has undergone modifications tailored for heavy-duty use in a woodworking facility where these would be subjected to rigorous handling and potential damage. To utilize this design, users should employ the provided 3MF files as primary sources, with the STL file included solely due to Thingiverse's requirements for publication. The following changes have been implemented: Modifications include employing #10 countersunk screws for mounting (machine screws) and utilizing two 12x3mm neodymium disc magnets. Additionally, the hooks have been redesigned at an angle to prevent breakage. This angled design ensures that even when users pull directly back without first lifting the caliper from the hooks, the magnets will still securely hold it in place. Furthermore, this modification prevents the magnets from opening the caliper as it is removed, since users tend to intuitively pull up at an angle to remove the caliper instead of sliding it upward. Part files are available in two options: Cal_Mnt_V2e: This file contains the caliper holder only. Cal_Mnt_V2eS: This file includes a caliper holder with a screwdriver pocket, specifically designed for use with calipers that feature a battery cover secured by a screw. The screwdriver pocket accommodates standard screwdrivers with an 8mm OD handle, such as those included with the calipers used in this facility. UM3_CalMtV2eS_X6: This Cura print file is optimized for use with an Ultimaker 3 printer and allows users to print six caliper holders at a time. The file includes all relevant print settings for reference.
