After becoming fed up with threading cables through glands into enclosures only to have to sever the connector once more in order to retrieve the cable, a solution was devised that neatly safeguards both the cable and electronics within the enclosure while still allowing the cable (with connector intact) to be effortlessly removed. Not intended to be waterproof but possessing some level of weather resistance. Conceived for a particular plastic enclosure with a wall thickness of less than 2mm, yet it could easily be adapted for any other type. It functions superbly and presents a tidy appearance. Happy crafting! Fabricated using ABS at 0.2mm with coarse support material. Any desired foam may be employed as the compression medium. Pre-perforated light-density foam was utilized in this instance, allowing it to mold neatly around the cables.
