Universal Ball Mount System

Universal Ball Mount System

thingiverse

This is a versatile ball and socket system that I designed to support small speakers, but it could have numerous other applications. The central link features a 1/4" X bolt with a length tailored to suit specific needs. Update: Based on Cyclone's suggestion below, I added an extra socket component to create an "elbow". A possible helping-hand device has been mocked up, thanks to Cyclone! To assemble the cap and ball correctly, print them with threads facing upwards on the cap and hexes facing upwards on the ball. Three shells are used for increased strength. When working the threads on and off a few times will help get them moving freely. When printing, be cautious as you can easily scrape your knuckles against the sharp edges when turning the nut on and off.
